We are booked for a cruise. The scammer who identified himself as United Airlines, told us that we had been bumped from our flight to italy where we would be boarding ship. He advised that he had 2 people willing to give up their seat, but he would have to rebook at the new price (which was 18,000+, however since our card limit was not that high, he said he could use miles plus 10,198.20) and subsequently refund the difference plus 3k for our inconvenience within 90 days. We agreed (so as not to miss our cruise, and because he said we had to act quickly as others were bumped and they wanted the 2 seats). After the call, we became suspicious. We phoned the real United airlines who informed us that we were never bumped, and our original flight is and has been in place. They also go by the name of flight finder and Fare Bargain. Another phone number showed up on caller Id: 1 229 213-0351 (so maybe Georgia?) plus a phone number showing on an email from them is 301-691-5409. We are in possession of 2 emails which will email to you upon request. We will be leaving on our cruise on Wed. 1/28, and returning on 2/18.
