This number came up on google AI when you google american airline customer service- 1-888-400-4570. When calling, they attempt to rebook and get your personal information and credit card information. They called back several times after I hung up from 1-229-213-0351. [BBB Scam Type: Travel/Vacation/Timeshare] [Business: American airlines customer service fake Impostor] [Location: CA, USA- 92108]
Green Dot Travels had a sponsored Google site that impersonated Delta Airlines. We were in the middle of mass cancellations and saw that our flight was cancelled leaving Seattle. The Delta line at the airport was 4-hours long. We wanted to call Delta to get a refund, so we googled them and dialed the number. The person on the line then asked for our flight information and said we could receive a refund (minus the "normal" $200 per passenger refund charge). We thought we were talking with Delta, so we authorized the refund fee. It was after we saw our credit card charge that we realized it was not Delta. The company's phone number is 888-578-0469. The company then tried to call us a few days later to ask about our experience... they left a voicemail pretending to be Delta and asked us to call them back at the provided number. The number was 229-213-0351. Five days later, our credit card (which we didn't use for anything else) was fraudulently used to attempt a purchase in India. Our credit card company blocked the transaction and reported the fraud. I am unsure if Google is aware of this site. When I google Delta now, I don't get the sponsored site...I am wondering if it is tied to being in close proximity to an airport...where stress may make a customer overlook certain details. We did get our Delta refund, but I believe the company charged us an exorbitant amount, and that they used/stole/sold our credit card information.
