I called American Airlines on 12/03/2025 to cancel a flight. My call was transferred to someone who could help me. Since the ticket was non-refundable, I just wanted to clear my seat for another passenger. The person, Mac Johnson, 1-301-835-0678 (EXT - 9074), said He could upgrade my ticket to first class, then cancel it and refund me for both tickets. I was reluctant to do this, but he was very persuasive. He wanted $998.00 and promised a refund of $1115.18. I never got the refund. When I called AA, they had no record of that transaction. My credit card was debited $998 on 12/04/2025. I have copies of the emails. I was only able to send you one.
