I was shopping for a beagle puppy and found the Tristanie Beagle Home website online at the end of January. I filled out the online inquiry and was then contacted via email. I paid $800, via Chime to Julius Assila, which was the agreed price to fly a pupply to me using a pet nanny on Delta. Everything checked out until the day of delivery, today, February 2, 2026. I got the flight info via email at time expected, but not from Delta, instead I got an email from Pet Delivery Shippers. I checked and they had a valid website. The huge red flag came up when Pet Delivery Shippers "cashier" asked me to send another $980 via Chime to Leslie Wanka. I told them that wouldn't work for me. They directed me to locations I could send the money via Western Union. It was obvious fraud at that point. I tried the phone number on the Pet Delivery Website, 507-258-3663 and either no answer or general voice mail. I emailed the breeder and asked for a refund. They replied and said they were going to Canada for 3 weeks and would not be able to refund my money until they got back (another obvious red flag). I reached to Chime, and they said they could not reverse or refund my money (which I didn't expect but just wanted to report the fraud to them).
