Scam Incident starting on 12/23/25 12/23/25 Received email from Maureen Roinson (McAfee renewal) see attachment 1 Called attached number on the email Was connected with Richard Mark (808-978-9600) Tech support I requested charges be removed, I did not authorize this charge Richard said no problem, he can take care or it. I need to authorize this charge He said I had to fill out a refund authorization form, and he could take care of it directly from McAfee to my bank I granted remote access to by computer to sign appropriate forms and also to check my McAfee software. During filling out authorization form I believe I entered the wrong amount and 20,000 submitted. A mistake I think on my part. Richard replied that this needs to be taken care of immediately or legal issues may result for unauthorized funds being deposited. He accessed my bank account and showed me the pending 20,000 deposit. He said I needed to return the money. I agreed and asked how will this be done. He told be he could connect McAfee banking system by my bank and resolve this. All this time he was showing me what he was doing on my computer via the remote Access that I gave. He was unable to achieve this because he said his company uses digital banking And I do not, therefore he could not remove the deposit. 12/24/25 He suggested he could wire transfer 4500 out of my bank account, and the balance I would withdraw in cash and deposit it in an Bitcoin ATM. All this time I was very skeptical about the method he was using. He continued to Assure me that if this wasn’t taken care of quickly, there could be legal ramifications In the future for me, and possible charges or receiving unauthorized funds and Money laundering charges. I reluctantly agreed due to the fact that he had access to my computer and banking System and he could inflict more havoc.
