Scammer said their name was Carson Simon from the College Board. Number on Caller ID was the phone number for the ACT company: 877-789-2925. Phone number on my credit card bill was 844-659-7459 (disconnected). Scammer had mine and my husband's name and connection to our son, our personal email address, our home address, the name of our son's school, and the name of his School Counselor. Scammer said our son needed us to make a fully refundable deposit in order for him to get his SAT test materials. Scammer said he was working with our son's school and they needed us to confirm our personal information and provide a credit card number so that our son could get the materials that he needed in order for him to study for the SAT test. Scammer said this was only a deposit that would be held and refunded after we returned the SD card (which we never received).
