I'd received a spam call on my work phone. I've since Deleted it but the voice mail from March 11th states, "on Wednesday the 11th from the eligibility review unit with the tax filing advisory office. I'm contacting you b/c your account remains listed within a current review window where certain filing or balance matters may still need to be verified. To make this process simple, our office maintains a direct proprietary verification line with no wait, allowing you to connect immediately and receive accurate confirmation of your current status. This brief verification simply confirms your standing & determines whether any assistance or resolution options may still apply. Please return my call today at 771-247-3536. Again 771-247-3536. If you no longer need assistance, please call back and press 3 to be removed." @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:au [BBB Scam Type: Tax Collection] [Business: Unknown] [Location: NY, USA- 10036]
My mom received a call from 1-866-484-5138, thankfully she didn't answer it, so they left a voice mail. The voice mail said: "Hi this is Danielle Cortland calling on Wednesday the 11th from the 'eligibility review unit with the tax filing advisory office.' I'm contacting you because your account remains listed within the current account review window where certain filing or balance matters may still need to be verified. To make this process simple, our office maintains a direct proprietary verification line with no wait, allowing you to connect immediately ......please call 771-247-3536." WE THINK THIS IS A SCAM, PLEASE DO NOT CALL EITHER NUMBER. WE HOPE PLACING IT HERE ON THE BBB SITE THAT IT HELPS OTHERS TO AVOID THIS SCAM. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-columns) - 6) * ( [BBB Scam Type: Tax Collection] [Business: Eligibility Review Unit with the tax filing advisory office] [Location: FL, USA- 33611]
