Did a Google search for Epson Support number and found 855-775-4304. Gave them access to PC. Was told printer was bad and eligible for refund. Wanted online banking information, asked to login to bank site - he didn't login and didn't give the info. Person then asked for a credit card number they could refund to - he didn't give out that info either. Hung up on "support" and turned off computer. Called a number listed on google (855-775-4304) that said it was HP printer tech support. They used remote access on my computer, asked for personal info, etc. Long story short they took $66 out of my bank account for a service (which in the end I never received), that was supposed to be $2. When he attempted to put the $66 back into my account, he accidentally gave me $10,000. He freaked out and asked for it back, saying I needed to go to the physical bank and wire the money back. I told him I was about to leave for work and did not have time to run to the bank. I went to work, came back, called my bank, and they set everything straight (at least on my end. I no longer had the $10,000 and got my $66 back). The reason I had to report it is because I got locked out of my bank account. It was a weird experience. Now I’m nervous they have all my personal info. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;fle [BBB Scam Type: Tech Support] [Business: HP] [Location: GA, USA- 31410]
