Scammer called to notify that my father in law had missed jury duty and that had to pay a fine or go to jail. Was told he was under a gag order and couldn’t tell anybody. Scammers request money be sent through crypto from kiosk throughout the city. Scammer number when called said “no caller id” but told him they could call the number provided and it would lead back to the sheriff. When copy and pasted it displayed “ 865669225537 “. When I reached out to one of the locations where a kiosk was used I asked if they had access to transactions. They said “no”. I then asked if they knew their kiosk were being used for these scams and they proceeded to say “yes” and immediately hung up. I tried calling back and they refused to answer.
