The "reducing your debt" category drew 193 complaints across the code, covering credit cards, mortgages, and student loans, and it produced one of the top-ranked individual numbers: 702-525-6872, which alone accumulated 18 complaints in that category. The impersonation bucket — callers posing as government agencies, businesses, or family members — added another 165 complaints, and medical and prescription solicitations contributed 100 more, rounding out the three dominant named threats.

The overall complaint volume is substantial. The 702 code generated 2,478 total complaints across 1,007 distinct numbers between February and June 2026, placing it 35th out of 357 area codes nationally. Among Nevada's own area codes it ranks 3rd out of 47, a notable concentration given that 702 covers Las Vegas and Henderson. Reported locations cluster tightly around Las Vegas — including the 89115 ZIP — though complaints also reached receivers in California and Florida, and a small cluster of reports listed Whitefish, Montana, suggesting either call-forwarding or number spoofing against targets well outside the local footprint.

The highest-complaint numbers carry no categorized label. 702-208-2411 drew 25 complaints, 702-872-3211 drew 24, 702-936-8369 drew 19, 702-724-5853 and 702-208-2710 each drew 17, and 702-425-5112 drew 16 — none of them formally tagged to a scam type. That pattern means the categorized totals for debt reduction, impersonation, and medical schemes almost certainly understate true activity; the uncategorized high-volume numbers likely carry their own concentrations of those same threats.

FCC records for the code show 14 formal filings, with live-agent calls accounting for 30 of the logged contacts, prerecorded messages accounting for 5, and abandoned calls for 4. The lotteries, prizes, and sweepstakes category added 67 complaints, a secondary but consistent thread. With the code still active as of June 2026 and debt-reduction numbers still generating fresh complaints, the operational tempo here shows no sign of contraction.
