I had been preparing to file our passports and had visited the government site. At some point I was either redirected or I exited to the search engine and wound up on the site. https://passport.uspassportandvisa.org. I thought i was on a legit site and filled the form out and was under the impression I was paying passport fees. After I was reviewing the paperwork is when I noticed that I still had to pay fees and realized what happened. They only fill the form out for you which can be done on the government site for free. They also offer an 'insurance' in case you lose your passport but don't get how that works since they are not the government. Don't do as I did and fall for this scam. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / var(--Grid-parent-columns) - (var(--Grid-parent-columns) - 6) * (var(--Grid-parent-columnSpacing) / var(--Grid-parent-c [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: US Passport and Visa] [Location: WA, USA - 98274]

This website is posing as the Department of State website, using the same blue background color and similar fonts. During a google search they come first, which indicates that they are apaying extra to be place as the first result on a "RENEW PASSPORT" SEARCH. The webpage that comes up during the Google search is https://passport.uspassportandvisa.org/passport-v3 - there is NO DISCLAIMER that they are not affiliated to the department of State in this page. Why would any Local, State or Federal government give anyone the power to collect such SENSITIVE information from their citizens without Federal Ethics and Cybersecurity clearance? Especially a small company with limited resources to protect such information!! This information can be sold! Passport info, SS, DOB and Address. All they need a a terrorist who looks like me! We can not even get a full address on their website or CEO information. F**k I'm pissed! @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-fle [BBB Scam Type: Government Agency Imposter] [Business: www.uspassportandvisa.org Date Repor] [Location: PA, USA- 18328]

I was attempting to renew my US Passport and went to this website: https://passport.uspassportandvisa.org/finish I paid $110.33 believing I was renewing my passport, however, it is simply a “fill and sign” document website, advertising as the Passport Application website. I entered in my SSN, DOB, home address and parental DOBs. This website should not be allowed to utilize such a similar website to the state.gov website, as it is misleading and a false representation. https://passport.uspassportandvisa.org was the first, non-sponsored result listed in Google's search of "US Passport Application". I did not notice that it was .org instead of .gov. They charged me $162.88 which only gave me a printed out form that I could have done for free on the .gov site. They now have all my personal info, including name, address, phone #, social #, place of birth, mother's maiden name and birthdate, father's name and birthdate, emergency contact information and credit card information. I have had to call my bank to dispute the charge, and place freezes on all 3 credit report organizations, and I am terrified what kind of hiccups this will present for me in the future as I try to travel. They also had a spot for me to apply for TSA pre-check, so I did that as well. @media (min-width:768px){.css-1w6dufj{-webkit-box-flex:0;-webkit-flex-grow:0;-ms-flex-positive:0;flex-grow:0;-webkit-flex-basis:auto;-ms-flex-preferred-size:auto;flex-basis:auto;width:calc(100% * 6 / var(--Grid-p [BBB Scam Type: Government Agency Imposter] [Business: us passports and visa] [Location: WA, USA- 99208]

I wanted to apply for passport renewal for my 9 year old son. This website showed up in search results, where it allowed me to enter mine and my husband’s full name, phone numbers, email addresses, my son’s SSN and full name, address details. And luckily our payment transaction via credit card failed. Hence I grew skeptical of the website and looked up online to find that "https://passport.uspassportandvisa.org/“ is a fake and scam. i called my bank to cancel transactions. But our family’s PII is exposed. Please assist in this matter [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Unknown] [Location: TN, USA- 37110]
