One of the first links that came up was: passport.uspassportandvisa.org It looked very official, and they thought it was the official government website and they filled out the passport application information (name, DOB, address, SSN, maiden name, debit card information) and submitted it - it even sent them to set up my passport in-person for getting their passport photo done.
