01/17/2026: Purchased a teacup poodle for $808, was told that is total charge for purchase and shipping, only payable through Zelle/Cashapp/Applepay/Chime Transfer. Same day, received an email stating I need to pay an additional $1200 for insurance. I emailed the seller telling them I cannot afford to pay such a huge sudden amount, especially if I was not informed of it before my purchase. They said they will cover the rest, I told them I just want a refund of the $808. They said will get back to me tomorrow and they stopped responding. I asked for refund or legal team information, they said cannot refund because they spent the money already, then said cant refund because it is their policy (no policy at all on their website or in any emails). I kept asking for legal team information, they said they dont have time for this and stopped responding. Every time I ask for a refund or contact information, they tell me to pay the insurance fee and I will receive the puppy by the afternoon, or I can forget about the money and puppy. I keep telling them I am not paying the insurance fee, I dont want the puppy, I want a full refund. I told them I would like a refund on the very first day (01/17/2026), before they shipped anything. I called them (212-897-4622 / 214-897-4622) on 01/18/2026 and 1/19, their voicemail is in Spanish and did not receive call back. I have already submitted reports to FTC, IC3, Attorney General.
