I attempted to purchase a kitten from a breeder, Nordic Nights NFC. I found this breeder on the Cat Fanciers Association and Breeders website. Their Facebook page as Nordic Night- Norwegian Forest Cates facebook.com/6158341708418/ . This website has since been taken down. The breeder sent me videos and pictures of the kitten. I sent a nonrefundable deposit of $500 through Zelle to hold the kitten which was to be delivered Saturday November 22, 2025. The Zelle payment was sent to Aniyah Newtown, confirmation number 4588616391. Aniyah Newton’s phone number is 815-297-5879. Ms. Newton stated that I had to use their courier service, Rapid Route Logistics, to deliver the kitten. I was told I had to send an additional $ 1540 wire transfer to Rapid Route Logistics through their Wells Fargo account (Routing number 121000248). Rapid Route Logistics (Phone number 704-222-0023) was the beneficiary (BBAN 4063026916188831) Address of Rapid Route Logistics: 2501 St. Claire Ave. NE Cleveland OH 44114. I was then contacted by Rapid Route Logistics and they demanded 2500 additional dollars and send a troubling picture of the kitten in distress in a cage. It was at this point that my husband and I realized we were being scammed. My husband and I are senior citizens and my husband is a disabled Vietnam Veteran. This amount is more than an entire month of our social security income. Perhaps most troubling of all is the cavalier attitude of Wells Fargo. I immediately called Wells Fargo to report the fraud. I called the actual branch that the money was sent to: 9450 South West Gemini Drive Beaverton OR 97008. They refused to help or cooperate with me or the authorities. Wells Fargo has a long and infamous history of perpetrating and now being complicit in scams.
