Got a call from the number 845-284-2984 asking if I was going to be home within the hour because he had documents that he had to serve. I asked what it was in reference to and he said he could not tell me but could give me the number to the law firm, mind you this was well after 5 in the evening. So I took down the number and said I would call. I called the number and a guy answered the phone with just hello, not the name of the supposed law firm. I then asked who it was and he gave the name Henry Montes at interstate Legal and asked for the case number. Then proceeded to say I had a delinquent balance with a credit card company and said if I didn't pay the balance I was going to be summoned to court. I said I didn't have that kind of money, he then said he would see if he could get a lower settlement balance due to basically being poor and put me on hold, came back and gave me a lower balance and I said I will need a couple of weeks to get it together and he said ok that he would call back in a couple of weeks to setup payment arrangements. I proceeded to block the 2 numbers and report it here and to local sheriff.
