Received text message asking if I was looking for work (I am). Replied yes and was told someone would reach out to me. Contacted by “Alicia” (262) 340-5663 who offered me a remote position with global music rights. Basically upvoting music albums. Assumed it was to pump numbers for upcoming Grammys. Each album I would “upvote” was paying around 60 cents. They offered incentives for consecutive days worked. During the course of my first day I encountered an album with a bonus incentive, about 16 dollars. In order to clear the album from my work screen I had to deposit the same amount. I used my coin base account to deposit 16 dollars and it cleared the album. After the first day I was added to a chat group , 20 people,and Alicia asked me to communicate with her from there. I got the feeling it was all fake people. I completed the second day with no bonus incentives but the group chat had several messages of people who had bonus albums which created negative balances and how lucky they were because by depositing the funds they received a huge incentive. At the end of the second day I withdrew 200 dollars from the account ( it was over 500) and sent it to coin base During the course of these 2 days I did several searches on global music rights and even AI Google said they were a legitimate company. Before starting my 3rd day, I was highly suspicious and did more searching and finally found another complaint. I tried to string Alicia along this morning and withdraw the additional 300 in the account and was rejected. Also this morning Alicia asked how I felt about the bonus albums creating a negative balance and I said something like you’ve got to spend money to make money knowing full well it was a scam at this point.
