We received a call from a person on the listed phone number 402-819-2051 stating we had a closed case number that could not be opened unless we verified our information. When we did, they put us over to their "servicer" that was stating that they need to deliver documents to me and require me to provide a reference code they said they were a “litigation office” for **** Loans and that they were handling our case. We were told by them that we had to pay a sum of $990.00 today to close out the debt, and instead we said we couldn't repay the debt and that they would demand a $350.00 payment. It was odd because they had my Husband's Date of birth, my social security number and date of birth. We ended up paying the $350.00 and then a month later they contacted us back with the same response. This time with a threat that they would take our house, file leins against us and that an officer would be out to serve us papers. It was strange. because when my husband started asking legit questions about contact information and payment to them. They were constantly putting him on hold to "negotiate" and check to see if we were allowed to, that we could pay a lesser amount. My husband was given a call back number and after him calling in back to ask questions. They were extremely dodgey, rude and strange about information requests. They obscured what company they were from, and finally divulged a PO box number. We told them we would look into getting them a check, and instantly they were like "we take card only" After substantial investigations by my husband we were unable to find any legit form of their operating location and that we figured out this was a scam and that somehow they were able to obtain information from very very old debts that were cancelled, and that they are using public information to trick people into this facade of them being legit debt c [BBB Scam Type: Debt Collections] [Business: Consumer Account Management Date Rep
