While on FaceBook, a screen came on with many flashing lights warning, reading to call 844-424-1815; I called the number with my home phone. A person claiming to be Steven Calvin, Microtech, ID#7027 telling me that my computer and phone has been attacked by Spyware from China, Russia, Ohio and Kansas. He said that I had to contact Beronica from Discover at 320-900-9698. I called her on my cell phone. She told me that her name is Beronica Wilson a Discover Manager and that someone from out of the country charged $7,000.00 on my account for some kind of porn and Discover had called me to verify the charge and I said yes; which wasn't true. Beronica said that my phone was hacked and that the only way I can get that charge taken off my account was to follow her directions. Steven was on my home phone listening to me speaking with her and gave me the case#: 80088H, and hung up. She told me to immediately get in my care and keep her on the phone throughout the whole ordeal, as she would be giving me directions required recording for the case. She said that I have to buy $7,000.00 worth of gift cards, the same amount that was charged, in order to get my money back, which made no sense, but she'd reply that this is the only way to get my money back. I spent 9 hours driving to stores to charge the cards on three different credit cards, with each store, she told me to read the numbers and pin to her before I drove to the next. A $500.00 Lowe's card, she said wasn't activated; she told me, once the $7,000.00 worth of cards was competed, to go back to the store and get my money back from Lowe's and told me that she would call me the following day, at 11:00 a.m. to tell me that all my money had been recovered and not to talk on the phone about any of this, as the scammers had spyware on my phone and if they found out before that process was complete, they could stop it, of cour [BBB Scam Type: Tech Support] [Business: Discover] [Location: FL, USA - 33461
