Within days of closing on refinancing my home with United Wholesale Mortgage I received a call from Patrick (phone number 888-402-6084) stating that he was with United Wholesale Mortgage and that he was “required “ to discuss Mortgage Protection Insurance. He insisted that it was necessary. He said that his name was Patrick Dammert, license number 21683999. When I asked to verify that he was with United Wholesale Mortgage he brushed that aside and said that he was an underwriter. Then he started asking personal questions. He knew my age but asked my birth date. He asked what were my health problems and what medications I was taking. I refused to answer, then he was asking about my financial information. I stopped him and said that I already had life insurance and enough money to cover my mortgage if necessary, and that I did not want to answer any more questions. He tried to argue with me and I kept telling him that I was not interested.
