I received a voice mail stating I needed to call 888-921-0258 (which is not the number on my call log). The number on my call log is 667-218-3946. They stated it was an urgent civil matter and if I did not contact them they would proceed with legal action. They also left a voicemail on my mom's phone. I called the number and couldn't understand the name of the company. They were representing my loan with credit one bank. I corrected them and stated it was a credit card. She said you are correct it is a credit card. She verified my DOB and last four of my SSN. They wanted $2,800 which seemed a lot more than I owed. They kept bringing down the amount I could make as a payment. I gave them my debit card information and they charged $293.
