Installed the app. It was $2.99. This company has attempted to charge me $29.99 through Apple Cash three days in a row, but was declined due to insufficient funds. I never authorized any future charges and deleted the app same day. No products or services were used out downloaded by me. The charges were listed from wfthg.com Most all the reviews on the App Store and online show the similar unauthorized charges by those who installed the app. [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Frameify: Wallpapers and Faces Date] [Location: Knoxville, TN, USA - 37931]
The scam presents itself as an advertisement on a social media site (FaceBook / Meta) for an app that provides luxury watch faces for Apple Watch users. The embedded link routes the user directly to the Apple Store where an App called "Writsra Wallpapers" is presented for a one-time purchase of $6.99 + tax. Once the app is downloaded, the interface does not function. The user will assume it is a failed app load and attempt to delete and re-download the app. Multiple attempts will not produce any results. In the meantime, the initial charge to your debit card (outside of the Apple Store standard charging method to your credit card on file) will be followed up with another near-immediate charge for $9.99 + tax. The two individual charges subsequently generate two emails, which on the surface appear legitimate...but they are also non-functional. As the user reads further into the emails, it becomes readily apparent that this "company" is not a legitimate business; the presented emails are riddled with errors and fail to present any viable contact information or informative links. In the end, this is an elaborate scam presenting itself as a legitimate app on the Apple Store. The app is called "Wristra Wallpapers" made by a developer called "MiKa Software s.r.o." Contact information includes their purported website (wfthg.com) and an email address ( [email protected] ). In one of their website-provided links about their "Money Back Policy", additional contact information can be found (Trader: THINGOL LIMITED; Address: John Kennedy, 8, 3106 Limassol CY) but this too appears fraudulent. I was shown an ad on instagram for Apple Watch wallpapers and curious I downloaded the app not realizing it was able to get my Apple Pay information and today I woke up and seen a bunch of charges trying to go through that I never agreed to. I was never notified about a subscription or anything like that and when I go onto the app to delete my card information and the account from the app’s interface there is no option to do that. I don’t want an app able to rip off my card whenever they feel like it and I have no control. They kept trying different amounts when the $29.99 wasn’t going through and it appeared on my phone as if I was in store swiping for it and I was on my bed asleep there is something very fraudulent about that. Also in the app I clicked rate the app and I put a 1 star and it blocked me from being able to access the app in the App Store now it won’t even appear even though this was an app that is downloaded to my phone. I look it up on the web and it reverts me to the Apple Store where I couldn’t find the app anymore but it says “you can’t access this app from your country” all of a sudden but I can be charged ? There is some major scams and fraud going on with this app. The charge appears on my card as (wfthg.com). Do not trust this app or any apps that are associated with it apparently they use many fake names to get around Apple. .css [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Wrista wallpaper] [Location: CA, USA - 92653]
