Car was towed by a repo company, carmax is saying they have a lien on it Location: San Diego County, CA. I bought a car from a guy who had a bill of sale from a Towing yard. The guy bought it from an auction that the Towing yard had. However, the car needed a good amount of work. I towed it to a parking lot in my city and installed new parts on it. Sunday night came and the car was gone. Monday morning I call and ask around and find that a company called Lenders Holder had it repoed. I call them to ask why and they say there’s a lien. I go to the DMV and show the clerk my paperwork and explain everything, she says there USED to be a lien but the paperwork I had removed the lien that carmax had. I called Carmax and sent them the paperwork including the paperwork where they sold the car to the towing yard. I called again today and they’re saying they can’t do anything because they’re still on the lien and they won’t tell me if I’m missing any documents or if I can even send them anything extra. Genuinely wtf do I do??? I couldn’t get the car smogged and get the title because it needed work under the hood. I have the last piece to actually get it to pass smog but now I can’t even do anything. I asked if I could even pull off the parts I installed and they said no because I’m not an owner. Please if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know I’m freaking out I’ve already spent over 5k total for this car.

Renter advised $300 deposit, submitted back to insurance claims this amount should be all inclusive paid by Claims filed. With no card of credit needed,just proof of divers license shown. Texas Legal Advice - Vehicle Title Location: Texas Hello All I’m seeking advice on how to handle a situation involving a vehicle. My partner got a vehicle under his grandmothers name as he had no credit at the time and they did not put his name under anything. She passed earlier this year and he just finished paying the truck off. The title was sent to an old address and carmax cannot update the address. They advised him he could only receive a letter in the mail that she would need to present at the DMV. Curious on the process of getting this title transferred into his name. She had no will for the vehicle and one of the heirs is currently incarcerated.
