I recently encountered an online scammer whom informed me by an online tiktok video scam related to a rental apartment located in San Francisco. They wanted me to pay $100 online (https://xhwupn45.forms.app/agent-registration form#68de0c494513537d8a9f7c62=XXXXX) to view the apartment, $800 for a deposit, and application fee $800 and that the fees are refundable if I decide not to apply for the apartment. The person acting as a real estate agent said they were "Wesley Ricardo De Oliveira" and provided me with this persons drivers license (CA drivers license) and then a fake real estate salesperson id issued under the Division of Licensing Services (NYS). Name: Wesley Ricardo, ID:10401256758, EXP:10/12/25, whomever this person was they sent me to tiktok link (https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8U5nqo6/), the link went to a tiktok account created as SMITH_LYNN @user9339677849828, pretending to be renting affordable prices apartments to people. Asking people to contact 1-619-341-1796 by text or phone, and whatsapp: https://Wa.me/+13474338609, They made themselves out to be Wesley Ricardo affiliated with New York State Department of Licensing Services, with Landmark Property Management. And that they were willing and able to give me a tour of the property upon paying the tour fee, deposit, and application fee through their online forms, and all of these would be refundable after paying the online fees, if I later changed my mind and did not want to rent the property.
