I was contacted by someone saying they were an Amazon recruiter, and they had positions open for product reviews, with guaranteed daily pay! Since I had been searching for similar jobs on job websites, I didn’t think twice about it being a scam! This is the message I received: Hi, this is Aria from Amazon Recruiting. We came across your profile and think you could be a great fit for a part-time remote role. The position involves supporting Amazon merchants with product updates to improve visibility. • Flexible hours: 60–90 minutes/day, 4 days a week • Pay: $250–$500 per day (base $1,000 ?er 4 working days) • Benefits: Free training + 15–20 days paid vacation annually. Currently, we have 20 openings. If you’re interested and 25 yr older, please text 7136349170 for details. At first, everything seemed legit since I started getting paid. But there was a situation where I was told I had to load money into the account as security for a special order, in order to get my full payout! Because I was so blinded by the money I would receive, I didn’t stop to think it was a red flag! Before I could finish the tasks to get my payout, another special order came through but this time, I couldn’t afford to add any more money! When I asked for my original money back, they literally said no! When I said I was going to report them, they said, “go ahead, we’ll be waiting to see if you can even get a lawsuit”! After this conversation, I was promptly booted from the work account and I could not sign back in! I wasn’t looking to start a lawsuit because I’m sure they’ve covered their end of things! I just made a huge mistake and hope this report will help others in the future from falling for the same scam!
