I am filing a complaint regarding repeated and suspicious phone calls from the numbers 833-972-1849 and 866-904-0184. The callers claimed to be contacting me on behalf of my county regarding a supposed lawsuit. These individuals also contacted my friend and my daughter, which is highly concerning and inappropriate. When I returned the calls, I spoke with multiple representatives (both male and female) who all provided vague and inconsistent information. Each time, they immediately attempted to get me to confirm personal information, including my full name, address, and the last four digits of my Social Security number. When I refused to provide any personal details and instead asked for clarification about the alleged lawsuit—such as the case number, the court involved, or any official documentation—they became rude, evasive, and ultimately hung up on me. After multiple attempts to get legitimate information, one of the numbers blocked my calls. At no point did they provide verifiable details about any legal matter, nor did they send any official documentation by mail. Their behavior, tactics, and refusal to provide basic information strongly suggest this is a scam operation attempting to obtain personal information under false pretenses. I am requesting that this matter be investigated to prevent further harassment and potential fraud targeting myself and others.
