A Michael Carmichael has called my cell multiple times asking to speak to me and when I ask what its about he says he needs to confirm the the last 4 numbers of my ss are ****, which are incorrect, so he says he cannot speak to me and hangs up. Then he leaves my EX-husband a voicemail with the same information and requesting that he have me call him back immediately at 855-493-1900. A week later he calls me again asking the same and when I say, "no" he corrects the last 4 digits of my SS to the correct numbers. I said, "nope" and hung up. My family member began receiving calls (from 855-739-1743 and 855-493-1900) that there would be "service of process" if the company did not receive calls back. The individuals claiming to make service of process were "Kathy Mitchell" x205 and Marshall Davis (x120). Marshall Davis by phone implied that Kathy Mitchell is an autodialer message and not a person. I also spoke with a Jackie Newbern (x230) who claimed to verify the last four of a SSN and that Ms. Ashley White is the supervisor "of the floor," like a sales floor. The company gives different names when you speak to reception (who told me it was "something Legal" then changed to SS Mediation. SS Mediation was used by Davis and Newbern, but White claimed the business name was SS Liaisons. Newbern stated that there was a debt that could be settled but when I pointed out that they did not record calls or provide any legally required disclosures for debt collectors she referred me to White. White claims there is no debt collection but that they merely put the two parties in touch with each other. White further advised that as a mediator they are not legal in nature. I asked how service of process and mediation aren't legal and she hung up.
