I received a voicemail stating someone was trying to serve me with legal paperwork and that I needed to be home to sign for it, and if I wasn’t they would come to my place of employment. I was given a phone number and a reference number. I called (866) 235-6939 a lady answered the phone Ellis Wells and Associates. I stated that I just received a voicemail that someone was trying to serve me with some paperwork. She asked for the file number and then stated she had a file there with my birth date and placed me in hold. When she returned to the call she said I was being sued by Capital One for breach of contract. I asked her what contract she was referring to because I have a card with capital one in good standing. She then stated that the credit card was opened using me SSN that she read off to me. I again stated that was a lie and that I don’t have any outstanding balances with Capital One. She told me I could dispute it in court and that they would be serving me with the paperwork tomorrow and all the information would be listed on the back of the paperwork. I asked her to verify the address she’s be sending the paperwork to. She said something really fast that I couldn’t understand and then hung up. I called Capital One, and they stated they only have one account for me with them. I called back and told them that I was aware it was a scam and I reported them to the BBB and they hung up [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: Ellis Wells Law Offices] [Location: PA, USA - 19124]

I got a call from number (208) 280-4216 on December 18, 2025 asking by name for my ex-husband. I'm sorry I didn't catch the name. I told the female sounding voice on the line that the person you're trying to reach never had this number and I have had this number for a long time. This person wasn't listening to my answer and was asking again by name. I told her to remove me from the call list. She wouldn't listen and asked again for him by name. I said he is my ex-husband since ______ so please remove...before I could finish I was listening to a recording. The same recording that was left on my voicemail on December 9, 2025. I called the BBB and they told me those companies don't exist to block the number. I let them know that they don't just use one number. So I will attach this to all the numbers to hopefully keep others safe. .css-c8hvdp{--Grid-columns:12;-webkit-flex-direction:row;-ms-flex-direction:row;flex-direction: [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: AD Processing] [Location: OR, USA - 97352]
