"American Rescue Plan" Phishing Voicemail Hi everyone, I just wanted to document this call in case somebody else receives it. The number was (209) 998-7547, and caller ID says Manteca, CA. The message is this: "Hello, my name's Mike Palin. You've been prequalified for 26,000 US dollars in cash per W-2 employee because of the pandemic. This cash program is part of the American Rescue Plan for business owners. It is possible we can help you get this money immediately. Please call me back at my personal desk at (866) 585-2194." I don't see anything about such a program online, and I am not a W-2 employee anyway, so I have to assume this is a scam preying on the fact that U.S. citizens have received some money for COVID relief.
