I googled stub hub for a phone number to call to help with a discrepancy with tickets purchased. The phone number that came up was 877-337-2178. The male who answered said stub hub so it never dawned on me this wasn’t legit. Unfortunately I fell hook line and sinker. He told me to install deskin . Which I never heard of and I know you are not suppose to install anything. Later I found out deskin gives remote access to your phone. The scammer scrolled through my phone but I was at work at the front desk and wasn’t really paying attention. I do take full responsibility for my actions. But again I thought I was talking to a stub hub representative. It didn’t dawn on me when the scammer started mentioning do you have this bank and that bank . The scammer then went to my main bank account and saw that I had $410.72 . Transferred it to cash app. I did ask “why it said spent” the scammer said don’t worry about it. It will all go back tomorrow. And yes the next day when I called cash app after figuring everything out. It was too late I’d been scammed.cash app refused to refund my money because they said I made this purchase. By the way the scammer used an email address that I’ve provided to the FBI and the The Police department. In cash app the purchase showed Modacasa . Which I’ve never heard of. Google said it’s an Italian business.I disputed with cash app I did not do any business with Modacasa and never heard of them. And didn’t receive any goods. My business was with Stub hub. So that in and of itself was fraud. They denied my dispute and my appeal. I was informed by the FBI that people set up fake websites all of the time.And of course when I called the 877 number no answer. Then it said out of service. The person I spoke to gave me his number in case we were disconnected. Which we were. He lied and said his name was Jordan. I called him back the day of the scam @ 408-673-1367 x 1103.
