Verizon Phishing Scam! Reddit, please help get the word out. As of this morning I started receiving text messages from (917)262-2463 instructing me to visit http://verizon.vtext-update3.com/ I tried calling the number but it seems to have been blocked. This is obviously a fishing attempt to get at Verizon customers' credentials. I ran a whois on the domain name but the registrar is set to discrete. I also called network solutions to let them know about the situation and they assured me that they will do what they can to get to the bottom of this. Update: The previous domain went down, but I just got another text message on my phone pointing to a different domain this time at http://verizon.vtext-1.com as usual whois doesn't have anything http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/registry-data.jsp?domain=vtext-1.com Is anyone else getting these text messages? Also, I think it might be a good idea to let Verizon know about this as well.
