Bestpdf scam and how to resolve I’ve seen this one mentioned here so I thought I’d share what is (hopefully) a resolution. I signed up for a one time payment to get a merged pdf for a job application and then they charged my card. I rejected the charge and immediately went to the site to try to cancel. The site said I had no account and the same with customer service. Then they tried to charge again. And again. Rinse, lather, repeat with customer service telling me there was nothing to cancel. I must have had at least a dozen charge attempts. One went through and the credit card company deemed it valid so I got on the phone with them. Well they saw the charge was from a DIFFERENT website, pdf-billing.com. Please note I have in never in my life been to that website but I put in my email and it showed an account and my card info. I was able to cancel there and have email proof if they try to charge again and I’m getting a new credit card, though that won’t prevent subscription charges on the old one apparently. Those just get ported over. So yeah, it seems like bestpdf funnels the info to pdf-billing and you have to go there, to a site you never signed up for or visited, to cancel your account.
