scamsurvivors.com legit? I had a user reach out to me to tell me about [scamsurvivors.com](https://scamsurvivors.com) and their 30 years of support to victims of sextortion. I was extremely thankful to find out about this and the website does a great job of listing out the step-by-step instructions for getting through this. Two things struck me though, and I'm curious if anyone else has heard of, or used, this site. This subreddit warns of the "white knight" scam and after going through what I went through, I'm very wary of anything. Can anyone confirm that this site is legit? The two things that struck me as odd are the 99.5% success rate they claim (our own moderator here surmises it is closer to 80%, based on about 20% of videos being released) and the fact that there is a form at the end that asks for detailed information about myself and the scammer, including photos the scammer sent. I have to say the website, as well as the user who hipped me to the site, definitely seems legit. I'm just nervous because through all of the posts I've seen on this subreddit, I haven't come across this website once.

ScamSurvivors is free and will help. [scam survivors](https://www.scamsurvivors.com/blackmail/#/) I personally have not had my situation solved, however it’s good to know that there are people out there helping victims of sextortion. It also gives you a sense of release if you have no one to share your story with, knowing that you reported it and shared it to someone who’s trying to help gives this situation some light. Visit this link as they have a guide on how to approach the situation you’re in. Do not give up your hopes & dreams. They’ve already humiliated you, possibly taken your $$, don’t let them strip you of your identity.

Skype sextortion scams Today i was subject to a pretty unreal situation, I posted about it on TIFU - [Link](http://www.reddit.com/r/tifu/comments/35dsuq/tifu_by_getting_naked_on_skype_with_a_girl_that/) *[So I was chatting to this girl on a dating app called waplog, she seemed cool and we chatted for a while, added each other on facebook, then she asked me to skype, so I being a horny bellend, said "okay sure". Added her on skype, she proceeds to get naked so obviously i also get naked and proceed to have NekkedSkypeSexyTimes next thing I know there's a mirror video of me playing and a massive message in chat, about how they are going to send this video of me to all my friends and family and contact my university and all this shit, so i said go ahead, GLHF and just blocked them. Reported all the accounts, don't think they really understand that nobody would give a shit if they received a naked video of me, it's not like it would be the first time. It's safe to say i'll never be using that app again. EDIT 2 - Done some research and it seems that this is most likely what they tried (and failed) to do, Video BBC Sextortion -http://bbc.in/1DUQYYA[1] TLDW - Basically they (most likely a man) use some pretty sophisticated software that can mimic a real girl, including actions on camera and typing and stuff.. i tell you seriously, i am a pretty smart clued up guy and it sure fooled me out of my clothes. So be careful. EDIT 3 - Clarity and also i've just realised that it's almost certainly a guy in west africa thats seen my meat and 2 veg... Nice. EDIT to remove an EDIT...]* Essentially I was speaking to a girl online, we ended up adding each other on skype and she got naked and i got naked and then bam the next thing i know she(or more likely he) is telling me that ive been recorded and that the video will be sent to all my friends and family and my university and workplace. Luckily I'm not one to be manipulated or controlled so i flat out told them where they could sh
