IRS Scam - (201)365-2732 - Made friends with a "rep" This number called me this morning saying that I owed the IRS $5k. So my roommate and I have been calling this number constantly all morning because we're bored and we actually made friends with one of the representatives. Well the last few times we called, we actually started shooting the shit with the reps. The one we befriended, Maria, was actually willing to talk to us seriously even though we both knew it was a scam. My roommate (voice in the audio) started asking her how many people actually fall for this, but she claimed she was busy and forwarded our call to another "rep". This one was actually extremely honest with us about everything, and even went so far as to tell us how she ended up with that job and that it took until a month in to realize that it was a scam. She now wants out and plans to leave later this year, but also mentioned something toward the end about how she first needs to get her ID/drivers license. I'm not sure if this means that the company is holding it hostage, but that's kinda what it sounded like to me. I don't know. Here's one of the audio clips we took. I have a few others that I may post later where I held one guy on the phone for about 30 minutes and actually made him believe I was driving to walmart to get the "funds." When I got bored and felt like I had wasted enough of my own time, I proceeded to ask him "how many people he had fucked over" with this whole scam thing. He proceeded to hurl racial slurs at me, such as calling me a "fucking monkey" (spoiler alert: I'm white as snow). I'm too lazy to transcribe this audio, but if anyone would like to, feel free. It's somewhat hard to understand so if enough people want me to, I'll transcribe it since I remember enough of the call by heart. Also, yes my roommate made a few remarks poking fun at her for being Indian even though she isn't, and even making a joke about Indian names. We are not racist people. We were simply fucking
