I received a call from this organization/scammer but was unavailable and they left message with Call Assist by Google. When I attempted to call back after hours to leave a message, something seemed fishy and I immediately hung up and Google searched tax mediation and abatement and found an IRS.gov article to be aware of scammers and how to spot them. I then searched the phone number and saw the exact scam posted here. This is the message: Hi, this is Kathy Yates with the office for tax mediation and abatement. Happy Thursday!
