Scammer posed as Seargeant Brock from the Dallas County Deputy Office. Said I failed to appear for Jury Duty from served paper for jury that began that day. Judge Brantly Star issued to misdemeanors: Failure to Appear & Contempt of Court. Both carrying $5K fine each. Gave reference #'s and all sounded legit as they determined 2 courses of action: A) Warrant for Arrest and will be held in County jail until able to be seen by Judge (7-14 days) or post bond and get adjudicated or esponged by taking bail bond to Frank Crawley Court. It was more detailed than I can put in this paragraph and made it very legitimate. They made me keep the line open until I got to Court building to ensure I was not flight risk. They emailed what looked like a very legit Arrest Warrant for me. I asked for a call back to verify the number but still had to stay on line. They had supervisor Sg Banks call in and told me to google the phone to verify the location. That number that showed up on my phone was 214-749-8641. I googled it and it showed the Frank Crawley Court Bldg location. When I questioned, they said they can transfer me to the CID (Criminal Investigation Dept) which will immediately activate the Arrest Warrant and will no longer be able to recoop bail or further the adjudication. They had me take $10k cash to a bail bondsman location for certificate to take to Court Bldg. When I was there they said I have to take a Signature Analysis Test to prove I did not sign for the Summons and then they could esponge my misdemeanors and refund my bail. Luckily I flagged a cop down in the parking lot and explained what was happening. He called in to see if there was any warrant for my arrest and told me this was a scam. Attempted to talk to the people online as they eventually hung up.
