On Saturday 12/20/25, I Received a text message and an email stating I had a referral from the BBB inquiry, from an actor looking for a professional bookkeeper to help with consulting, for a three day remote project. I reached out through the text link to the contact person listed, "Georgina Gonzalez", to request additional information. The following reply emails spelled out the project details and advised to contact "The Actor" directly and gave the phone number 303-491-8062. (one email listed my phone number as the reach out number?) According to the few emails I received prior to this (from "BBB") they spelled out the details of the project for bookkeeping and how much the budget allowed and what days they wanted the services to take place, etc. I called the other phone number on Monday 12/22/25, in the morning and spoke with "David" who had a deep accent and through very broken English, (stated he was polish, lived in the states in Atlanta,) he requested I send him an email to his email address, [email protected] , from my email address so he could reply with his information and a link to send an invoice to so he could prepay me. Shortly after we hung up he called me right back and said he didn't have my email yet, I told him the text message he sent had an error in the email and it wouldn't work. Then after I still was trying to figure out and understand what he was saying, I advised that due to the language barrier this would not be a good fit for me and I was no longer interested. He immediately hung up on me. At this point I fear he has enough info to do some damage to me from me accessing the link and replying to the text message that was sent first.
