Called my retail job a few days ago. 312-479-9516. At work, the guy just told me he was from "tech support" and to transfer him to a manager. I called back at home, pretending to be a manager. I didn't tell the guy what store it was, but he knew before I told him, which makes me think the scam is targeting this particular company. It's an American company headquartered in Chicago. They spoofed a Chicago area code, and I played dumb that their location was genuine and asked about the weather, but the gentleman admitted they are in India. They wanted the store location number, and I made one up, but I think they have a database of the real ones and noticed the one I gave wasn't on the list, so I'll try and get some real store numbers tomorrow. The guy was like "uhh I don't know why or who called you or what the network problem is" when i gave a fake store location. I'm really curious as to what this scam is cooking up! Never come across one trying to get secrets from a department store chain.
