Jasmine Davis from the HR department at “Flowstack Transport” called my phone on Christmas Eve from phone number 502-547-0439 twice(3:34pm&4:43pm). (I was sleeping)When I tried to return the call at 5:33pm after seeing the voicemail and missed calls, the answering machine came on. Ms. Davis called back 10 minutes later and held a phone interview explaining the requirements, compensation and expectations for the remote position of a “package verifier”. I would be paid a base amount of $4200/month with the ability to earn $35 bonuses for each package delivered within 24 hours from when I would receive the shipping label via email from them. Ms. Davis also mentioned that we can hold packages up to 30 days and, I would not be paid until 30 days after I delivered my first package, which although I will say I found a bit odd at first but then I realized back when I worked as an intern at my high school for some reason our first paycheck was delayed so technically we had a month’s wait, I thought this was the same thing and I was in desperate need of money now that I needed to pay rent in a week. So I brushed it off and immediately called the rental agency that I lease with to notify them that I would be able stay and re-sign paying increments of $200/week until I could fully pay them off and get back on track with regular payments starting in February since I will get paid from stating my new job. I thought it was a Christmas miracle, so I stopped applying for jobs, told jobs that were interested in hiring me that I didn’t need it anymore and I began restructuring my budget to pay my landlord $200 weekly and survive on what I had left for food and other bills, as well as transportation and resources to do the job. I have a habit of deleting old emails, I clear them out when I have no need for them anymore just to keep everything clear and make more space.
