Received a call this date (Mar 31, 2026) on my cell phone from 513-995-3679. I did not recognize the number so I did not pick up. However, they left a voice message saying they were with Walmart's Fraud Prevention Department stating someone had attempted to make an online purchase using my name and account information (their fraud security system flagged this as potentially suspicious and required verification). message further stated that if I recognized and authorized the purchase, no further action was required, however if I did not, I should contact them so that their fraud prevention specialist could review and secure my account. They/she was not specific as to what type account. Voice on my phone message appeared to be a Caucasian female. Note: I do not have a Walmart account but was concerned it might be a credit card or back account purchase, however being suspicious, I decided to call the number not from my cell phone, but from my office line (government phone with a generic All Emp facility Ph # for outgoing/incoming calls ). The female who picked up (sounded like a foreign accent either Hispanic or maybe Asian, sorry...) wanted to know the purpose of my call so when I simply said that I had received a call from this number with a fraud warning and needed information about the nature of this particular alert, she immediately said let me check this activity (did not ask for anymore information, or state how she going to check w/o getting more info from me, she asked for NO clarifying information, not My Walmart account #, my name, not anything...:0) and then either put me on hold or hung up.
