I was contacted by David Williams via email with a contact link in the short message. I clicked on that and he ID'd himself to represent Publishers Clearing House and I had won 7.5 million dollars and a Mercedes worth $250,000. He gave me contact information for the Federal Reserve Bank and an account number and a 5 pin code. I contacted that number and provided the information and the prize was verified. On hold for payment of $19500. He also gave me his phone number as 516 585 7315. He was supposed to send me his Photo DL ID with the address. This ID was not received. I refused to pay regardless of his threats. He tried to get me to authorize passage of the prize to someone else. I did not authorize. Eventually he said I had 30 days to change my mind and pay the $19,500. I decided to refer this to law enforcement. Attempted Extortion of a Senior Citizen. Senior Abuse and any other charges we can apply to get this out in the open and capture this fraudster.
