Made appointment via website for 10:00-11:00 a.m. A woman called and said tech was held up on a job and wouldn’t be able to arrive until 4 p.m. I agreed being that my dryer had already been out of service for several days. She appeared foreign and I asked her to spell the name of her company. She made several attempts but I never could understand her. She then called back close to noon time and said the tech was on his way. Phone she called from was 615 398 9988. Tech arrived. Talked similar to the Lady I spoke with earlier but could understand him. We went outside to the dryer vent outlet. I explained there was no air coming through. He put his phone inside vent and proceeded to show me photo of a badly clogged duct. Quoted $300 to clean and an additional $300 to sanitize interior of duct. I agreed because I needed this duct operable. He went under my home, came back and said there was no vent work installed under my home and he would install metal vent for $850! A Red Flag I was feeling but, foolishly I agreed.. I did ask where he took the picture from that he showed me of the clogged vent and he shrugged his shoulders in response. Another Red Flag. He said he only took Cash or Credit card. He used Scan Pay to tap my card, which I even gave him a $50 tip! First card offered payment was denied which I found odd, 2nd card also denied which was extra odd but I immediately got a msg on my phone from credit card asking if this purchase was me. I replied yes and the charge was immediately approved. Please keep in mind, I am a 72 YO woman. This guy knew I was not going to go under my home and check. He was to install all new metal vent and he ran flexible foil duct only all the way! I paid my plumber to come out and inspect the job. I have filed a Dispute with my credit card company which is still ongoing because it happened 11/3/25. I am so angry at myself for letting this happen! I called Speedy Chimney at 615-505-4909 to have someone come look at my fireplace. A man named Sean looked at my fireplace and said he could fix it, so the $99 fee to look at it would be applied and I would owe $399 for him to fix it, guaranteed. If we had any issues, we could call back within the year and they would come back and fix it. I paid $399 via Venmo and received an invoice from Fresh Cleaning Services 615-398-9988 ( [email protected] ). The next day, my fireplace was not working so I called 615-505-4909 and I asked that they send someone from their company Speedy Chimney and they agreed they would. They sent Sean back. He said we can get our refund of $300 because they are unable to fix the fireplace and to call the office for the refund. I called for the refund for several days. The 615-505-4909 number is disconnected now, so I called 615-398-9988 and the man hung up on me so I called back and a lady answered and said that she would call office again since the technician needs to refund it and to call 615-398-9988 back in 5-7 bus days if I don't get the refund.
