I paid my down payment on a construction project to have a carport installed at my home. I waited the 6 months they said was their lead time, but then was not getting much contact. I contacted them and finally got a hold of someone. They said they were backed up and overbooked their schedule and would be getting my project started asap. That never happened. They kept blowing me off or making excuses. I asked for my money back numerous times and they repeatedly told me to be patient and that they would get my project on the books. I signed my contract A YEAR AGO! I just got a call today from one of their employees that was tasked with project communication. She explained that they never paid for my permit. That my money is gone and she is not even certain they will be in business in month. I have done everything I can to stay on top of communication and follow up, but the owner of Construction Kings is a conman. I can not get a response from anyone else at the company and looking at updated customer reviews I am not the only one this is happening to.
