I was scammed with a fake check in the mail. I received the check and initially the check was posted into my account and seemed legit, but then the funds were retracted because it was fake. I corresponded with someone and now I’m pretty sure the name they gave me was fake I have their zelle information, cash app, apple information, their phone number, a picture of the check I received. I received the check in the mail, I contacted usps through their online complaint system. They sent me the money with the check under the name they gave me and then some of the money was sent to them through cash app and Zelle. I contacted my bank as soon as the check disappeared from my account and cash app. I thought Zelle was a secure platform. I opened a claim, I requested the money back and they haven’t answered. The money they stole from me was 1750. They tried to get me to send them another 500 dollars. The name they gave me and the name on the check was Kelly *****. The tracking number for usps was 9102857230087656531453.
