I was going to buy a kitten from a seller found on Facebook who claimed located in OH 43055. The day before "arranged delivery" date, the seller notified me that she registered delivery with carrier and the carrier will be contacting me by email or phone soon. Shortly after I received the email from [email protected] with tracking portal led me to https://secureloadcarriers.com/. It showed the kitten info, pick up location, ETD and ETA etc, no mentioning of additional fees. 15 minutes later, an email titled Urgent: Mandatory Insurance Clearance required was received and they demanded $700-900 insurance coverage, claimed to be refundable if delivery went alright without any incident. We spoke to them over the phone, at number 720-422-8233, and did some research on live stock transportation insurance requirement, and decided to pay. I was asked to pay through Zelle to an ID: [email protected] . The next morning which supposed to be the delivery date, they sent another payment request demanding for Health&Safety clearance of $800 and we denied. Even though they claimed both are refundable, when I requested to cancel delivery and asked for refund of insurance we paid, they asked for accommodation fee. At this point, this business is clearly to be a scam. [BBB Scam Type: Online Purchase] [Business: Secure Load Carriers] [Location: IL, USA - 60108]
