Got a phone call from Harris County Sheriff Department stating there was a warrant out for my arrest for failure to appear to court. He verified my address and full name, he even knew I did not have any previous detainment on my record. They claimed there was a gag order and mandatory contact order. Said I could not leave the line or I would be arrested if I got pulled over on my way there. The first “officer”, I unfortunately did not get his name as I was very anxious and frail, I missed a lot. He told me I got a letter to appear in court in the mail and did not show. That he had to keep me on the line until I appeared at the sheriffs office. He gave me the address (6831 cypress wood Dr Spring, TX) to a harris county precinct, said it was a recorded line and told me I needed to verify handwriting to prove myself. Said he put down as a Did Not Recieve (DNR) and once I get to the station I’ll be fine, they just need to verify info. Once I got in my car, I was transferred to another “officer”. This one I remember his name as Lieutenant Michael’s badge number 2274. He told me I had two options: 1. Turn myself in to criminal court and face 7-90 days in jail. 2. Provide a handwritten/signature verification at the sheriffs office. At this I finally asked why my signature had to be verified and he told me someone had served me a warrant at my address (he gave me my address) and someone forged my signature. He asked for my eta to the sheriffs office and to state my name and time to verify how long it would take me to get to the station. At this point, I began to drive. He asks me to pull over so we can talk about my warrant as he just got the judges order. I had received two text messages from phone number 770-824-6016 with a warrant orders, one with the wrong state. In fact, now that I am out of the frenzy, both orders are incorrect because they have a previous address of mine on them.
