Scammer advertised on Facebook under Doodles for Adoption that they had a deaf male Berniedoodle for adoption. The dog was advertised as being in New York. Doodles for Adoption was contacted through FB. In a private message, they asked for $100.00 deposit to secure the adoption. The name Bobbie Winford and the number 773-796-1540 was given for the Zelle. $100 was sent, and then a follow-up message was sent stating the appointment has been booked and "my husband just got my attention that to book an appointment cost $300." They then requested an additional $200 deposit. The $200 was requested so that an address could be sent. At that point, it was recognized to be a scam. No additional funds were sent.
