I received a call - repeatedly- I at first did not pick up, but the scammer called 4 times - from a number that is my bank tel number - 800-372-3030. The scammer with a thick accent proceeded to “review the potentially fraudulent transactions on my 5/3 bank debit card. Then they requested me to repeat my card number, then the card exp date, then when they asked me to repeat my 3-digit security code- I declined and they said: “if you want to make sure - put me on hold and look up this number, I am your bank”. I looked up and realized they do scam people by calling from what appears to be same number as my bank. I saw BBB site and another person having reported the exact same experience I am having. Then I disconnected the call. I then called my 5/3 Bank and sure enough: they told me they did not call me nor would they call me to confirm this type of information, they would reach out via email. My card was compromised and my bank closed this card. Now waiting for a new card in the mail.
