Got an Official-looking document where one must fold & tear both sides, as well as fold & tear the top of envelop. On the front in bold letters it said, " THIS DOCUMENT IS ON RECORD AS BEING SENT TO YOU. IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED." Double-spaced below, it gives: Policy ID Number: A12BCA098108. To the right of this, in bold white letters atop a black banner are the words: FINAL NOTICE. Below this are the words: U.S. MAIL: This document is intended solely for the addressee listed...blah, blah...aforementioned only. Way further down is my full address, complete with my correct apt #. Upon opening the mail, it says, MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES. Among other info, it highlights Notice date: Program Term Deadline: ATTENTION: VEHICLE OWNER Our records indicate that you have not contacted us to have the vehicle service contract for your vehicle updated. Please call 1-800-397-8155. It goes on and on..... I don't own a car; I live in the heart of NYC. So, I'm not sure why they targeted me. But for those seniors who Do own cars, I worry some may fall for this...whatever this is! Is there anything to be done about this? Seniors are so vulnerable these days, & I'm hoping you or whomever can put a stop to this. I was worried @ first b/c I wasn't sure someone hadn't used my info to make an illegal purchase! That's why I rang them, said I don't own a car, asked that they remove my info from their list, and was told they can't do that. Let's just say we didn't end on a good note, for I hung up on them!!
