I called Mr. Chimney and they promptly (other companies had months waiting lists) came to check out my gas fireplace. They said it needs to be replaced and they did so promptly. $2165.68. They were friendly and clean. The fireplace worked twice and then stopped working. I tried to contact them on multiple occasions over the last 4 weeks. I call 800-257-3214. Each time the person I speak to tells me they have to speak to their manager or the technician and will call me back. I have called them over 15 times and always get the same message and have yet to get a call back. When I ask for the name and call back for that person they are never there. They tell me what time the manager is in and to call back then. Never there. Many times I get voicemail had have to leave a message. Once I refused to hang up until the agent called the technician. She got back on and said they got no answer. I called the number on the receipt for services - it has been reassigned to another person. I can no longer find a website or address for the company. I called 800-834-3155 = the West Chester NY Mr Chimney and they say they have no branch in Rochester NY area. Clearly they are scammers. What recourse do I have?
