I received a message to call 888 449 4307. To complete my nbc app on my roku. The foreign sounding man directed me to go to Google play where I downloaded an app called real dnc server. He had me give it a lot of Access to my phone. He then told me that my identity had been stolen & that was the reason I had to call . He told me that they were attempting to buy gift cards at Walmart. So we needed to correct the issue. After opening the Walmart app. I seen the gift card attempt. He said that we need to create a " dummy purchase" one that will then be refunded. When I seen that my next step was to enter my 3 Digit code from my PayPal card. I refused to do it. He got a little demanding & offended that I thought he was trying to steal. As I refused to enter he kept repeating that he was going to approve the charge. Threatening me if I didn't enter the code. I argued for a moment & eventually told him That I would contact Walmart directly. I then deleted my card information & the Walmart app. I also received a text from the # 803 820 9699 Thank you **** ******* [BBB Scam Type: Phishing] [Business: NBC app impostor] [Location: MI, USA- 49047]
